Here are some examples of my digital painting work.
Many of them are quick studies, no more than an hour or two of work.
I grew up reading a lot of illustrated nature books, so I enjoy trying to emulate those.
I also grew up seeing a lot of work by C.M. Russel, Frederic Remington, Philip R Goodwin, and other painters of the Old West. Scenes full of bucking broncos, bison hunts, angry grizzlies. I’m inspired by the thought of these painters, observing their subjects in the field, then returning to the studio to breath life into the rough sketches with paint.
