These are an assortment of logos and mascot work I’ve done over the years.
These are a collection of a few of the Social Media posts I created at Big Fish Games.
Some are comprised of in game assets, others are completely custom illustrations.
These assets are used to engage with the customer base, keep them informed of new releases, special offers, and contests.
They are tailored for a range of Social Media Platforms, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc. They are produced for a range of devices, iOS, and Android, Tablets, Phones, and PC.
Here is a small fraction of the hundreds of miscellaneous marketing assets I designed at Big Fish Games.
Represented are email ads, interstitials, marketing screenshots and more.
Here are some examples of my digital painting work.
Many of them are quick studies, no more than an hour or two of work.
I grew up reading a lot of illustrated nature books, so I enjoy trying to emulate those.
I also grew up seeing a lot of work by C.M. Russel, Frederic Remington, Philip R Goodwin, and other painters of the Old West. Scenes full of bucking broncos, bison hunts, angry grizzlies. I’m inspired by the thought of these painters, observing their subjects in the field, then returning to the studio to breath life into the rough sketches with paint.
These are a variety of icons of different types.
The stroke set is representative of some of the more commonly utilized navigational icons.
The black and white set is for a project dealing with hobbies and interests. Each represents an area of interest from gaming, and film, to paleontology and archaeology.
The blue set is a mockup for a UI mockup set I’m working on.
The color set is a sampling of app icons used in app stores, and on devices representing several iterations and seasonal updates.
For lack of a better term, I’ve labeled this section “comic art”.
Many of them are actually more accurately described as character concepts. Some are concepts for a Battlestar Galactica spinoff game. Others are concepts from a turn based, fantasy themed “card battler”.
The one with all the cryptids hanging out at the bar, however, is actually a large mural I did for Coindexter’s, a pinball and video game bar, located in Seattle’s Greenwood neighborhood.
80’s Project.
Although most of my career has focused on 2D assets, I can also work in Maya and Z-Brush when called upon.
This is a sampling of assets I illustrated for a startup, which was developing building a storytelling app, which would allow users to select from a sizeable library of assets to add visuals to short recorded stories about themselves.
Everyone’s history is unique, but the assets are intentionally somewhat generic. Customization is to include color, textures, and scaling controlled by built in presets.
I worked in tandem with other illustrators to knock out an initial list of several hundred assets ranging from trees, to vehicles to instruments, common household items, even weapons.
